This project used the football matches dataset located on Kaggle

The dataset consists of all football matches played between 1872 to 2021.

The dataset was first filtered to remove all matches that were not played in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON). Subsequently, the remaining data was transformed into a table. Then new columns were created to store winners and losers of each match. Finally, a country level table was created to aggreagate goals scored, goals conceeded and matches won per country.
